 3. GQ EMF EF Meter RF Spectrum Power Analyzer
Does GQ EMF-390 show values that base on P(eff)?

Dear specialists
I am sorry, there were errors in my formulas. I take the formulas out but my question is the same.

GQ EMF-390 provides both, LF and HF measurements per second that I read out to perform analyses. Mathematically this is field strength in V/m and Power density in pW/cm² for one second.

In electrotechnics it is advised to calculate average values with a root square mean and not use the arithmetic mean to get the effective value of electric power.

Are measurements of GQ EMF-390 based on U(eff) and I(eff) or not?

I need that information for the calculation of average values.
(a) To get the average value in a time frame of 6 minutes, can I use the arithmetic mean (Sum/count of measured Values) or

(b) do I have to calculate the root mean square...
Square root of ( sum of squared measurement values / count of measurements )

Thank you.
Have a good day.

I need to get back to your answer.
You said They use Peak readings.

Does EMF-390 show the peaks of power P across time (green field) or the peaks of the sine function in the image?

Thank you.

Thank you.

a. I think they are using peak readings.
b. in order to average them over a duration, yes you can do that.

In other words,
a) are HF power density measurements per second based on the RMS (root mean square)?
b) is it correct to use the arithmetic mean (sum of values divided by count of values) for average values (like for 6 Minutes, an hour or a day)?

Thank you.
