Hi,
I got the TOOL-081 Audio to USB data cable for Geiger Counter and cannot make it work with GMC-320 Plus. I'm using the default port speed of 115200. Any thoughts? My idea was to use one GMC-320 + device for two different applications using one USB port and one for Audio to USB port on two different CommPorts... So far cannot make the Audio-USB work at all in any GK software...

Thanks,

Tried with the headphone and I can hear low click in the headphones when speaker is ON, however still no data is going into the Comm port and the GMC Data Viewer. DO I do something wrong? the audio to USB port seems to be registered ok in Windows?

For the GMC-320, you can just connect the USB cable to you computer. The TOOL-081 is for other generic Geiger Counter. The GMC-320 has built-in TOOL-081.

So the Audio Port on GMC320 Plus, cannot be used as data output to be compatible with third party software?

The TOOL-081 converts audio pulses into a USB serial signal.

You have to make sure your third party software recognize this type of USB serial signal.

The GM-320 audio port has a 1V level audio pulses.

So, you need to confirm your third party software recognize this type of USB serial signal.

For the starters, I tried the TOOL-081 Audio to USB data cable on GQ Data Logger and could not make it work. I would think that the software should support it as it comes with the device....

I'm trying to use it with GeigerGraph for Networks and were unable to have it work on either the USB or Audio to USB cable....

The tool-081 is not designed for GMC-320. But is should work after a fine tune.

I will try it see what will happen when connect a TOOL-081 to GMC-320+.
