A question: The parameter "Speaker" controls exclusively the sound of tick-tick-tick of the pulses. And the parameter "Alarm" controls exclusively the sound which notifies that radiation level has exceeded the preset value. By this way, in normal everyday usage, one could close the tick-tick sound of the pulses, but still has enabled the Alarm sound in case of reaching cases of high radiation.

It works as designed.

When unit speaker is on and entered the power saving mode, the sound will be turned off and alarm remains on its setting. The speaker will keep in off mode until the unit exit from the power saving mode.

The sound and alarm are controlled independently. Turn on/off one should not affect another.
