Hi Guys,

So I was wondering, on the instructions it says the serial number is behind the battery in the device, but I can't find a battery slot. How do I get to the serial number.

Also the background radiation level is very high, is this because I haven't registered?

Thanks

Hi there, the S/N sticker is located just below the main 9V battery. BTW, is your GMC200 photosensitive, especially jumping to very high counts when the unit is exposed to direct sun ray?

Kind regards,
jm

Thanks, got it registered.

Problem now is the software just counts up automatically EVEN when the geiger counter is NOT attached. Anyone have this issue?

Sorry I'm unable to help on that one, I never used GQ's software because I was never been able to register successfully that piece of software (registry write issue under Windows XP).

I'm using right now "CDV Counter" software from www.anythingradioactive.com/CDVCounter/help.html which is interfacing correctly our GMC unit. Not perfect, but adequate. Just plug cables and play :)

Kind regards,
jm

Windows XP registry has no problem. All 32 bit windows should be fine.
