Hello,
My device is sometimes emitting very short and bright purple (electric like) flashes, it seems to be coming from the tubes, is this normal? |

hello,
don't worry, the blue flashing light comes from a small LED good covert inside housing, it flashes when it sends your counting-data to www.gmcmap.com you can check this, if go into preferences --> Server --> select Test Connection now hit "Enter bottom" for start the test, it will flash one or two times ... (first i worry by myself same way, thinking on lightning stroke inside the Tube from overvoltage, but that it is not)
kind regards ;) 3z_phoenix |

3z_phoenix is right. The WiFi Module has a blue Led that blinks whenever it sends data to the server. Usually, it is on sleep mode when WiFi is OFF or between sending data. |

Ah thank you so much! I could indeed trigger this blue light with the test connection menu. One mystery solved! |
