Hi
Just bought 320 Plus.
I like to go to the woods where is no electricity and I was testing some field chargers what I have home.
All of the chargers I bought on Ebay.

Soshine is not working at all.
Soshine is rated 400mAh only. Looks like it is not enough.

Tekkeon is working very well. Rated 1A.
Charged from 0-100% in 2.4 hours from 4 Sanyo Eneloop 2000 mAh rechargeable batteries. There was still some juice in the Eneloop

El cheapo charger with 2 Duracell Stay Charged 2000 mAh rechargeable batteries works great. Needs to be charged twice, two batteries are not enough. Charged from 0-100% in 2.5 hours. Still some juice left in last two Duracell.

Please let me know if you have some experience in this field.

It is not working like this.
Charging voltage is different from working voltage.
I can charge my two way radio from 12 V car cigarette socket, but they working voltage is 4.5 V. 12V will kill the radio.
Somewhere in the technical specification/schematic should be that info.
Would be nice to be able to power it from 3 x AA alkaline batteries.
I already have project to make 3xAA power supply :)

The unit used 5V USB power to charge the unit battery.
The 4.5V should be OK.

20W Solar panel is more than enough. I think 3-5W should be OK with the power bank.

With a 5A power bank and solar, it should run about 20 days without sunny day.

It just needs 1-2 sunny day to charge the power bank and unit.

I have 20 W solar panel, power banks and all other hardware.
But not always is a sunny day in Philadelphia :)
Will 4.5 V DC kill the unit ?
Is just 0.5 V more.

If you want to continually monitoring outdoor, then a solar panel may be a better way. There are many 5V USB charger type solar panel available in the market.
The solar panel with a power bank together should work.

One more question for today.
Will 3x1.5V AA alkaline set for total of 4.5V kill the unit ?
