Allow me to begin by saying that Nuclear Science and, by extension, Nuclear Energy is my favorite thing in the entire universe. I have done a lot of studying and I really want it to be the energy of the future. I'm really excited to start doing research and experiments of my own. With that said, I think, personally, that the best place to start would be to get a Geiger counter. However, I'm not sure what kind to go for. I think that the best one to go for would be a versatile Geiger counter that is fairly sensitive to lower-energy radiation as well as higher-energy radiation. After doing some searching, it seems that cheaper ones aren't very sensitive and to get a decent one, there is a price spike from $30-$40 to $100-$300. My current budget is $60, but I would be willing to save for a really nice one. If anyone on this sub could help, it would be greatly appreciated.[https://discord.software/ https://fetlife.vip/ https://downloader.vip/itunes/

Hi TovinoThomas, the closest one from our products to your budget is GMC-300+ it has the same tube as GMC-320 (can't detect alpha) and has a background CPM of 10-30 in Seattle. If you want a more sensitive one, I'd say get the 600+ (can also detect alpha) but it's a lot more expensive.
