hello my old GMC200 tube hada lightbulb screw at one end and it was easy to tell which is + and which is -ve. However my replacement tube SI 39G (#1057;#1048; 39#1043;) has positive at one end and negative at the other end. But I dont know which is which! Does it matter? There is a "+" sign slightly to one side ... but I am not confident enough to assume that means +ve... any suggestions?

Hi ZLM - ha yes i did notice the + sign ... but as it was kindof in the middle I lacked confidence in assuming that means the positive was on the left side

I will extend the current wire and report back! Thanks for your help!

The positive always goes to tube center and negative always goes tube shell.
