Is GMC-500Plus detection range really 0 ~ 42500 uSv/h or is 4250 like the other.

hi Lered,
well from my view this depends most on the tube-manufacturer ranges,
the counter-hardware is fast enough to handle a very broad range in counting.
The real PLUS of my GMC500+ for me is:
it have one very sensitiv big tube, and a tiny tube for measurements in higher radiation-levels.
Between this u can easy switch for selection what better suite the needs.
I'm still not sure about the real tube-content of my GMC500+, bcs. the tubes are covered with dark sleves.
This is protection shield for worst stray light-photons.
I still not like to lost my device-guaranty.
board-revision V5.4 is told to be shipped with
M4011 tube (the big one) and
J707 tube as the tiny one
You can easy find the board-revision number in batterie slot
