GMC-500+

I am testing some of the possible radioactive rocks I have collected in the past. It seems as I retest to weed out the less active specimens, the counts I wrote down previously keep decreasing as the battery level drops. Down to 80% now - and some of the earlier pieces are registering at half of their previous levels. Is battery strength a major factor in CPM?

Hi CKWilliams, no the battery does not affect the readings. Please try a few more tests at 100% battery then at 50% battery. Make sure the distance/position of the device is the same. Also maybe try to do an average reading maybe over 5-10mins.
