Hello,

I just purchased a GMC-300S which I will use to check antiques for radioactivity. When I powered it on the first time, the battery was 100% and the date was correct (time was off by 4 hours) In the card it said first step is to set the date. I just want to make sure I didn't get a device that was used and already preconfigured, I bought from Amazon, and well, their return chain is sometimes not the best.

hi matter01, we usually set the date and charge the batteries before we ship the units. The clock was set to PST. You still need to set the time correctly to match your timezone.
