I know the web site has a default of "Last Month", which seems like an odd choice for a realtime map, but the Android app seems to use "Forever".

The shortest period on the web is Last 24 Hours. Given the current world situation a shorter Refresh period of maybe four hours may be more appropriate.

But when I look at the Android v1.0.4 app there is no selectable time period and it appears to be "Everything we ever recorded no matter how old it is".

For example, the app shows a detector in Jerusalem and Haifa, which would be pretty handy for awareness nowadays. But the web site does NOT show those two detectors even when set to Last Year.

When I tap on the one for Jerusalem and tap REAL-TIME DATA it's from March 11, 2020, over five years ago. When I tap on the Haifa detector it's from Oct. 4, 2023.

So it looks like every data point ever recorded is displayed in the app.

It would be nice if we could select a particular data period in the app as well (I use Android) or just change the app so it defaults to Last 4 Hours or something more useful for an app. The radiation from Chernobyl, for example, supposedly reached the UK in a few days.

The app change should be a pretty quick fix simply by changing the query on the backend for what data the apps can actually retrieve. No new app version needed. Unless the query is in the app, of course.

Thanks for listening.

Haha, nice. I just opened the map and said to myself "What the heck? It's on one week? How did that happen?"

And now I know.

Nice work, again.

BTW, I captured this old detector data from the app, Nov. 29, 2022, to the southwest of New Delhi in India. So seeing old data is not all bad.
