I just bought the 500+, as many reviews say it is outstanding. HOWEVER after much research, it appears that GQE thinks only Windows Users matter. Sad. Nearly ZERO macOS 10.x, or 11.x support. Why?

Hi Frank, I just checked and there's no newer version of GMCPRO. But you can download ullix's Geigerlog. It should have more features than GMCPRO. And can be used with MacOS. Link can be found in the top post and in our software download page.

Hi, is there a newer Version of the mac os software in the meantime? i got a 500+ and when connecting and trying this gmcpro Version it kind of recognizes the device showing it in the list to connect, but when selecting it it disappears after a few seconds and i cannot connect to it.

My 500+ has fw 2.28 (also shown in the list of found devices by gmcpro for mac) and my mac has macOS version 11.6.

Thanks for any help,
Frank

Hi MarkF, we have a software for MAC for downloading data:

https://www.gqelectronicsllc.com/fw/gmcpro_mac64_re.zip

There is also a great 3rd party software developed by ullix called Geigerlog that is compatible with mac.
