I just turned on my new GMC-320 Plus. When I hold down S4 for 3 seconds, the screen lights up and reads "Battery Level 100%" then it beeps and reads " GMC-320 +v4" for about 3 seconds. Then the screen goes all white with no text. The unit clicks as if it is reading.
After 40 seconds, the screen goes dark and blank without any text. The unit still clicks but does not display. Then when I push S4 to turn it off, the screen stays dark but I can read "Power Off..." (black letters on the unlit screen) for about 1/2 a second before the unit turns off and stops clicking. Please advise.

I got it last night. It's working now.

There was a firmware bug recently released accidentally. The power-on blank screen issue can be fixed with a firmware update. Please contact support@gqelectronicsllc.com for the firmware update.

Hi MagnumX, yes it needs firmware update and needs Windows.
MagnumX Posted - 11/18/2020 : 14:15:00
I just received my GMC-320 Plus today and it has the same problem. It lights up with GMC-320 -v4 and then there's a white screen with no text on it. I can hear clicks in the background. The controls literally do nothing other than the power button when held shuts it off.

Has anyone found out what the issue is? Or is this just a matter of having to return it?

Edit: I received an email from Amazon that it needs a firmware update. I assume that uses the Windows software to achieve that?

When you return it, can you please put a note on it saying the LCD goes blank after turning ON? Thanks, we do not know if it is a firmware issue or hardware.

Hi shredmageddon, you can try to use the GQ Data Viewer software to get the serial number by connecting to USB and sending the command while the device is OFF.

Also, you can email support for warranty.

Hi MetlabMaint and HAL, can you please send me your device serial number so I can check. You can find it under the Main Menu->About->Serial#. Thank you.

Good Morning, I recently purchase the same unit on 11/9/2020 and I am running into the same exact problem.
Please let me know how I should proceed to fix this problem.
