Hi.

I'm new to this forum.

I recently purchased a gmc-600+ (revision f/w 2.42) and I've been having a hard time trying to get it to play nice w/ ullix's latest and fantastic GeigerLog 1.4.1 software (thanks ullix!). this issue is that the s/w only displays 0's for CPM, CPM1st, etc. metrics.

Yesterday I stumbled on the solution (which so far works for me):

1. First, carefully read ullix's very comprehensive and well written installation guide. He put a LOT of effort into in and it's very informative.

2. Not sure about other GMC devices but for the gmc-600+, there seems to be a hiccup in the original geigerlog 1.4.1 "gdev_gmc.py" file which according to ullix, needs to be replaced by the 1.4.2 version of the file (link below).

After following his instructions all works well. As I said this is not my solution but one provided by ullix in his geigerlog discussion page (link below).

So again thanks ullix for the software, support and fix and nice to meet you and be a part of this forum.

Best
Simon

Hi Simon,

thanks for the good words! I have used your initiative to formally provide the update to GeigerLog v1.4.3.

You find it at the usual place https://sourceforge.net/projects/geigerlog/files/

All users of a GMC-600+ counter, as well as users of the new "S" series of GMC-3XX counters should apply this update.

Unfortunately, I haven't gotten much feedback from GMC-320S users. If any problems come up, please let me know. Preferred site is "General Discussion" at GeigerLog's Discussion site https://sourceforge.net/p/geigerlog/discussion/
