Hello
Is this expected or not?

I am using GMC-600+ attached to a PC using the USB cable, and the Power Saving option is turned OFF. The Backlight Timer is set to 30 seconds, and these are the only settings related to power and display settings I am aware of that I have changed or checked. Yet, while using Geigerlog for live-logging DB, if I leave the device for the whole night, the next day I find the device OFF and if I click any button, I only see the battery status (100% charged), and I need to press for few seconds for the device to startup again. The PC itself is ON and never goes to sleep and I deliberately disabled any power savings on my PC so it doesn't sleep or hibernate. Still, the device is continuously counting and Geigerlog continues to receive counts every second while the device seems to be off! Is this expected? How can I enforce the device not to switch off or sleep like this? I didn't calculate the time necessary for the device to sleep/shutdown because I was sleeping, it seems it requires hours before it goes to sleep/off

Thanks

When connected to a PC (which doesn't sleep or hibernate). This happened twice but since then it didn't happen anymore. I have no further information. I will update you in case it happens again

GeigerLog does not send any power or lighting commands to the counter, unless you explicitly instruct GeigerLog to do so.
