Hello everyone, from 24H, I am a new owner of a gmc 600+

I'm Italian and I used a google translator to write, so I hope my text is understandable.

I notice that in the main screen of the geiger display, the data of CMP, mR / h, uSv / h can be read in real time. But not the mean of the chosen unit of measurement (in my case uSv / h).

To see the average I have to change the display screen but I find it only for CMPs and not for uSv / h.

Is there a remedy for this? Or does the gmc 600+ not include this possibility?

I immediately thank those who will be able to answer me.

Andrea

Andrea

Note: it is CPM = Counts Per Minute!

What you are looking for may not be available, but I don't know. However, there is a single factor relationship between CPM and uSv/h:

Your first pic shows "37 CPM" and "0.106 uSv/h". Divide the two 37/0.106 => 349 CPM/(uSv/h). This is the sensitivity of the tube.

Read more in the GeigerLog manual in chapter "Appendix G – Calibration".

LND, the manufacturer of the tube LND 7317, specifies 348 CPM/(uSv/h) for a Co-60 source. Interestingly, GQ so far had used 379, which has no basis in anything, and obviously has changed its firmware. Could you please post what your firmware version is?

From your "Average CPM:45.00" you get avergae uSv/h by: 45 / 348 => 0.129 uSv/h. For a quick view I suggest to multiply by 3 and divide by 1000: 45 * 3 / 1000 = 0.135. Only 5% difference (and you don't know anyway what the sensitivity for your situation).

Hi Ullix, thanks for your reply.
You're right I'm CPM and not CMP, Unfortunately I can't go back to the firmware as the gmc 600+ is already inside a closed package ready for replacement or return. Yesterday, my new geiegr had a problem with the sound and the led light of the meter despite the CPM and usv / h were correct. But the led and the sound sometimes worked and sometimes didn't. I sent the videos to support who asked me to return it for verification or whatever. The only thing I remember is that the three default voltages for calibration are: 348, 3480, 34800.

Hi 1967, currently the firmware does not support the average uSv/h on the text mode screen. For now you can easily calculate it by average cpm / 348.

OK thank you EmfDev. Too bad it cannot be displayed directly next to the data in real time because in my opinion it is an important data

hi EmfDev, thanks for your reply. Will there really be an update to have the average in the Display? Will the update be performed with new firmware? I can't find a firmware section on the Gq site. How can you get it? Thank you .

To ask for firmware update, please email support with your device serial number and they will check if they have a new firmware update for your device.

Hi EmfDev, I upgraded to ver. 2.41. I saw that the German language was added.
maybe there are other updates that I haven't noticed, but I haven't found what I wanted to see. The average on the display of the uSv / h value. I do not see her
