After the error below, I've tried:
1) Deleting the 'installed' driver due to "Unknown USB device: Device Descriptor Request Failed".
2) Rebooting
3) Reinstalling driver from site yesterday: CH341SER.EXE
4) Plugging in GQ 390. (Boots with QG 380 message?)

>>>The same problem no matter how many times it's tried.<<<

Can someone please direct me to a solid driver or a clue as to why it's not installing even though it claims 'success' on CH341ser.exe?

Thanks,
T

Another try on device manager errors screen.

Looks again, like a broken image; perhaps it's the server icon.

Sorry, Windows 10; the worst version ever!
(Spyware and BLOATWARE!)

Try to uninstall the driver, Maybe you don't need the driver to run it on Windows 10.

I had this issue with Win7 and got around it by using 7zip: right click the .exe installer downloaded from GQelectronics and select 'unzip'. This extracted the contents of the executable to a folder where a setup.exe could then be run without problems. I think something was badly configured when creating the installer package.
