Hello friends,
i would like to connect a Radiation Alert Inspector to my GMC320+.
This Geiger-Counter gives a TTL Signal on a normal Audio-Port.
Is it possible the use the great functions of the GMC to log this 5V Signal? It gives a peak for each count (like a normal tube), but i have to know where to connect the 5V signal?

| The way to connect is depending on you software requirments. Most of software use audio-serial adapter, like tool-081 here.If you use GQ data viewer software,then you can just connect a usb cable on usb port. |

Thanks for your help.
My problem is that i dont know how to connect that TTL sigbal to the GMC to use the logging portable. Do you have a idea which contacts I have to connect?

Hello ZLM,
sorry for my bad English.
First i want to remove the tube of the GMC320.
Then i take my Inspector. It has an audio-output which gives a 5V-Signal for each count.
I would like to use the GMC to log this signal of the Inspector with the GMC 320+.
I need information if there is a way to connect this two devices?

What i mean:
if i want to record some signal with the GMC320, is there any pin which i can use to trigger a "count"? Without any tube in the GMC?

Yes.
Remove the tube from the GMC-320+. Turn off the tube high voltage before doing connection. Minimize the tube voltage variable resistor to turn off the high voltage. Use multimeter 1000V range to confirm.
Then connect the your audio output ground line to the GMC320 ground. There are many points can be ground point. Such as battery - end or USB shell.
Finally, connect the your audio output signal line to the tube "-" end. DO NOT connect anything on the "+" side. That has high voltage. You may want to turn off the high voltage before doing this.
