To replace the “rechargeable 3.7v Li-ion battery “ when needed on the GMC-320, what is the manufacture & part number of the battery.

The battery is stadard 14500 size 3.7V Li-ion battery. Can be any manufactuer.

What is the maximum 14500 mAh recommended for the 320? Or does it matter?

The mAh does not matter. As long as it is a 14500 Li-ion 3.7V battery.

More mAh means that the battery will last longer. The higher the better (in most cases).

So the 700 mah 14500 that came with the GMC-320 can be replaced with the new 2300 mah LI-ion 14500, without blowing something up or the battery charge indicator reading wrong? Will it have a problem fully charging it ?

No problem at all.

The GMC-320 unit comes with a computerized charging circuit. It will take care all of those.

You only need to make sure your battery is Li-Iron 3.7V.


But as I know there are many 2300mAh Li-Iron 14500 battery on eBay from China are not the real capacity. It may not have enough capacity as they claimed.

Sanyo seems to be the rechargeable battery manufacturer of choice amongst flashlight aficionados. Unfortunately, it is very common to come across counterfeit batteries online. It is a good idea to buy from a known reputable dealer, and if possible find pics of the currently shipping designs to help identify counterfeits. IIRC, Candlepower Forums is a good place to get this info.
