The Error 1 means the unit is unable to heat the hot air element.

It could be the element contacting bad or broken.

In this case you need to open the handle and check the hot element. To see if its connector open or element is broken.

If the element is broken, replace it with the backup element.

Once the new element installed, the starting temperature should be keep low for at least 10 minutes with a higher air volume, then turn the temperature little higher for another 10 minutes with a higher air volume.

This gradually increase temperature just let a new hot element be completely oxidized.
