I was a bit surprised about this email, claiming to be sent by GQ support to all GMC map members:

I have erased my own mail address in the pic, but otherwise this is the complete header and complete subject. Of course I have not clicked the included link.

The header is surprisingly short. The email <support (at) gmcmap.com> seems legit, but could still be fake.

Is GQ really sending junk mail to all registered on GMCmap?

Or has GMC map been hacked, and all mail addresses are now in the junk mail world? Perhaps time to change your credentials on GMCmap!!! (Unless the hackers already own the server ...)

Don't trust me, hear it straight from the horse's mouth:
quote:

Porn messages targeting Hotmail accounts

Since Jan 20, 2022, I and other Hotmail accounts have been flooded with porn spam with links to malicious websites. ...

I wonder what Bill Gates would say about your thoughts about hotmail ;)
ullix Posted - 05/25/2022 : 01:07:34
the_mike is correct; this is a regular mail from gmcmap when sent via the contact button. Anyone can actually do it; you don't even have to be logged in!

This mail was flagged as SPAM in my Thunderbird, and the cryptic wording was not given confidence, combined with the fact that I associated 'hotmail' with some X-rated web site ...

The high value resulted from a programming problem in GeigerLog. Unfortunately, the gmcmap site does not allow deletion of wrong values.

the question is simple and legitimate given the indications provided by your counter at 600 CPM on the GMCmap website: Why is it so high?

after the guy's email address is a bit out of place even if a little electrical stimulation fintness can't hurt

IMHO it looks lilke another user sent you a message; to be honest: i never took a closer look to the Map to know the system - is there a DM-option for users to contact other users? Edit: yes there is:

Btw - the User-Agent screams "UPDATE YOUR MAIL SYSTEM, GQe!!", so let me second this! GQe - are you realy running your mailserver on Windows 2000 (Server or not is not important)??
