The command processor of the GMC-500+ stops receiving input after seeing > until the command closes out with >>

Example commnad:
<GETVER>reandom suff>can be anything>>
get interpreted as
<GETVER>>
This makes it impossible to use > in any test input field that uses ASCII for the parameter, including the WiFi SSID and password. This can not be worked around using AT commands as the AT command is still processed by the command processor before being passed to the ESP8266.

I tried the escape sequence /> but it still stopped after the / character. Is there another escape sequence for >?

Hi tehaynes, the > looks like is not present in teh GMC500 character list in the current firmware. Maybe try to set it using the data viewer and just connect to WiFi to see if works.

I have updated to from 2.10 to 2.20. It is still not possible to use '>' in any ASCII fields.

Hi tehaynes, can you email me your serial number so I can send you a firmware update?
