Is it safe to leave the GMC-500+ plugged in 24/7?

It is two birds with one stone: Serial USB Communication bus link with a PC or Monitoring server, keeping the battery charged.
Can use 5 meter shielded USB cable or longer using extenders. Wifi can stay disabled.
Also can keep USB cable short. Keep the GMC counter inside the house. Filters Beta particles. Only give Gamma radiation a chance.

Yes. It is safe.
