Hi guys!
I just received my "New" 600 from GQ. When i turned it on the date and time was already set and it had around 75% Battery life.... Did i receive a returned unit??
I thought i would need to set everything up from scratch (time, date) the first time i switched it on...
Has anyone else experienced this?
Cheers!

Ok, Thank you.

No, the factory reset just puts the unit back to how it was after testing. The time is set separately so you have to sync it either manually or by using the data viewer software.

So, do factory resets do any harm to the calibration of the unit? I had to do another one because the screen orientation has a mind of its own and wont let me change it in the settings menu. after a reset it works again?!

No problem, It was only the start up guide. I have the pdf manual printed out so i didnt need it

Oops sorry about the EMF menu on your unit. That was a mistake by us.

Thanks for putting my mind at ease. The problem was that i read the pdf manual before receiving the unit, then when i turned it on and saw the date/time it raised a flag. Funnily enough the quick start that came with it was for a EMF reader?!
I did a factory reset to remove any test data, i hope that was ok to do?
Thanks again guys!

Hi Kiwi-Rob, the date and time is set when testing so it should be correct when customers receive them.
Some of the batteries didn't come in full from the manufacturer so we had to charge them first. Maybe we ran out of fully charged batteries when testing your device so we used an untouched one. Sorry for that. You can plug the device through the USB to charge the battery. It also says on the quick start guide that came with the device that you need to charge the battery fully before using.

I think it might be OK. The devices are tested before shipping. Mine's came with diverse battery levels and date/times.
