Just purchased EMF 380.

In RF mode what does the current window mean? Thought current was measured in amps not mW/m2. Confused.

Is the pW reading a measure of signal strength?

Does the "peak" reset only when turned off?

Yes that's correct.

Does this mean that the 4nw reading only applies to the 640Mhz signal and the 427nW reading applies to all currently received signals? Just trying to understand the difference between the two power density readings. Thanks.

Hi Steve,

The 4nW/cm2 is the 100pW(640MHz) signal but converted to density. Yes actually, all of them are current except the peak.

Guess I'm still confused.
I'm in RF mode/watts.
Screen shows 100pW signal - 640 MHz
4nW/cm2 (current window)
427nW/cm2 (next window)
490nW/cm2 (peak)
If nW/cm2 represents power per unit area (power density) then what does the 4nW/cm2 reading in the current window mean?
Why is the window labeled "current" if the other readings are also current?
Thanks for your help.

You'er welcome. If you have more question, feel free to ask. Thanks!

Thanks much for the clarification. Impressed with the 380.

Hi Steve, thank you for purchasing EMF-380.

The "Current" means the current reading at the moment. It corresponds to the reading with dBm/Watts.
Basically it's the same reading as large one but in power density(different unit of measurement).

Yes pW is picoWatts. And the density is milliWatts per square meter. And tells how strong the signal is.

It can be reset if you click the S3 button or try to switch back to EMF/EF. You dont need to switch back, just click once.
