Hi,
I recently purchased a GMC0320 Plus. the purpose of the purchase was to check the background (scatter) radiation when exposing on a portable generator. It would appear that the response time is a lot slower than needed, as an exposure could last as low as 0.001 seconds.

Are these meters too slow to pick up the scatter radiation, the maximum measurement would be 1mSv at a distance of 1 metre.

I look forward to any advice offered.

Regards

Winston

It will detect fast exposures and will be displayed at the next second. There's a counter that catches them but the display only updates every second. The counter can detect 1/1000000 (or 1 micro) second pulse.
