My EMF readings are very unstable - jumping around between .5mG and 12mG. The display indicates "mixed" sources. I am primarily interested in determining the component from the high voltage power lines near my house. Is there any way to look at just the 60 hz component?

Does the reading still jump even with no EMF around?
If you want to detect the power line only, you have to make sure that there are no other EMF sources around.
